How Infraway Came to Be

Like so many breakthrough inventions, Infraway was born out of necessity. As a two-sport Division I athlete, Max Betkowski suffered a torn hip labrum before his senior season. Instead of opting for surgery, he played through the injury, relying on athletic trainers, chiropractors, and physical therapists to manage the pain.

But despite endless rehab, his lower back issues persisted, and the available recovery tools were either ineffective, complicated, or required constant visits to specialists.

Frustrated with the limitations of existing solutions, Max leveraged his kinesiology and engineering background to create something better: a slim, wearable, rechargeable infrared heating wrap. A product built to move with you and blend into your warm up, recovery, and most importantly daily life.

Early Development

2017-2021

Early development phase focused on perfecting the combination of deep-penetrating infrared technology with topical heat application, while ensuring the designs remained practical for everyday wear.

Official Launch

Nov 2021

Infraway officially launches its first SKU of a wearable, rechargeable infrared heating pad.

Strategic Acquisition

Aug 2022

Infraway acquires Relief Technologies, integrating and advancing its proprietary heating pad hardware and software to develop next-generation recovery solutions.

L1 Launch

Feb 2023

Landmark launch of the L1, Infraway's next-generation IoT-enabled wearable device, bringing professional-grade recovery technology to consumers.
