About Infraway
Infraway was formed in 2017 by Max Betkowski, a former two-sport Division I athlete at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Max knows firsthand the importance of having high-quality recovery tools, and as a kinesiologist with a background in engineering, he also understands that these tools have limitations.
In the runup to his senior year, Max tore the labrum in his right hip. Rather than go through surgery and miss his last season of college football, Max opted to play through the injury, working with athletic trainers, chiropractors, and physical therapists to manage the pain and learn more about the injury.
However, the process of addressing the hip injury and the lower back pain that came with it left Max feeling drained—and still sore. Max went to physical therapy sessions multiple times a week, where he would do repetitive exercises on stationary machines that only gave temporary results. Any feeling of well-being would wear off quickly, and Max was subjected to a rotating slate of health professionals that offered a dizzying array of solutions.
The path to healing or even mitigating soreness can be long, expensive, and confusing, and unfortunately, it’s an all too common issue for millions of people. Whether you’re playing sports or going to the grocery store, movement is movement – and any tightness or achiness can be debilitating to everyday life. Here at Infraway, we’re dedicated to the advancement of recovery options to increase the overall health and wellness of everyone. We can’t wait to help you on your journey.
